Ahead of that, the successor to Redmi K30 has reportedly surfaced on MIIT certification with model number M2011K2C. The handset is believed to be a 5G offering and the certification site confirms that. What it doesn’t confirm is whether the Redmi K40 will be powered by Snapdragon 775 SoC or not. That is still a speculation, and we’ll have to wait for further reports to confirm. The Snapdragon 775 SoC is tipped to be the upcoming mid-range mobile platform from Qualcomm – replacing Snapdragon 765 series.
