IVF, or In Vitro Fertilization, is related to assisted reproductive technology (ART) used to help individuals and couples conceive a child. It involves retrieving eggs from a woman’s ovaries and fertilizing them with sperm in a laboratory setting. The resulting embryo(s) can then be transferred to the woman’s uterus to achieve pregnancy. IVF is often used in cases of infertility, genetic disorders, or when other fertility treatments have failed.
