For applications that are processor or compute-intensive, the best instance class to use would typically be Compute Optimized Instances. These instances are designed specifically for applications that require high processing power and are suited for compute-bound applications. Examples include batch processing jobs, media transcoding, high-performance web servers, high-performance computing (HPC), scientific modeling, dedicated gaming servers, and ad server engines, among others. Compute Optimized Instances provide a high ratio of vCPUs to memory and are tailored for workloads with high CPU demands.
